Military Valentines - We receive thousands of Valentine's Day cards for service members and veterans each year. Unfortunately, because the cost of distributing these cards is so high, we cannot provide enough money to get these cards to our military heroes and veterans so they can feel the love.
All you have to do is add $1 to the Valentine you send! This helps us pay for filling out and sending Valentine's Day cards to overseas hospitals and the VA!

Soldiers' Angels has hosted fundraising campaigns throughout the year that allow individuals, businesses and organizations to come together and help our soldiers and veterans. These fundraising campaigns should be conducted in such a way that members of the general public (i.e. friends, family, classmates, colleagues, etc.) can contribute to the campaign. If you are hosting a collection, please do not solicit money or donations from retailers, manufacturers, corporations, or other commercial entities. Due to the nature and paperwork of these requests, donations must be requested directly from Soldier Angels. In most cases, we have tied up with many of the biggest businesses. If you are affiliated with a retailer, manufacturer, large corporation or other business entity that you believe would be willing to make a monetary or in-kind donation to Soldier Angels, please contact us and we will be happy to get in touch. Emergency Vehicle Valentines
Answer: As you wish! Please remember to add cash to the number of cards you send with your Valentine: 1 card = $1, 10 cards = $10, etc.
:: After sending your cards to our headquarters in San Antonio, we will distribute the cards to soldiers and veterans around the world. We fill the card boxes and send them to our service members. We will also be sending boxes of cards to VA agents across the country. Representatives present the cards to veteran patients. Many VAs even have Valentine's Day dinners or parties, and our representatives and volunteers will attend many of these events to spread the love to veterans.
:: We accept cards until Valentine's Day, February 14. Various VA hospitals have lots of events on Valentine's Day or the days after Valentine's Day - if the cards arrive at our headquarters by February 14th, we can give the cards to troops and veterans!

:: They can be store bought cards, but they can also be craft cards made by hand at any skill level. The handmade cards we receive from school children of all ages are often the most impressive. So, get out the construction paper, markers, and doilies and get crafting!
A: Our best advice is to keep it public. "Thank you for your service" is a great sentiment to share with service members and veterans regardless of the time of year. We ask you not to enter any political or religious statements. Please remember that we want to share our love with these heroes and heroines.

Also, please keep in mind that we at headquarters do not have the resources to sort cards by who they refer to - deployed soldiers or veterans or male/female. With that in mind, it's best to create your cards so they can go to a deployed service member or veteran. We suggest addressing your message with something like "Dear Hero," which can refer to any service member, past or present, male or female.
A: Of course! You don't have to add candy, but if you do, we're sure the recipients will love it. The best suggestion for candy is a candy bar or a small package of candy hearts. We ask that you attach the candy to each card so that we can send the card and candy together. Please do not bring in chocolate or candies that melt easily. Please do not send large bags / candies or candy. All candy must be attached to a card for ease of return and distribution.
